The White House said President Donald Trump would sign an order to send US astronauts back to the moon and then to Mars.
White House spokesman Hogan Gedley said in a statement that Trump would sign a resolution instructing NASA to "launch an innovative space exploration program."
Gedelli explained that Trump made his decision on the recommendation of the National Space Council. The president will "change the policy of our homeland in human exploration of space so that America becomes the driving force in the space industry," he said.
