Zidane agrees to join new striker

Madrid - Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has agreed to sign a new striker during the current transfer window.

The Spanish newspaper L'Equipe reported that Real Madrid are putting Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi as the first choice during the winter Mercato. Zidane discussed this option with the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, and General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez at the meeting, .

She pointed out that Zidane confirmed during the meeting that he agrees to the inclusion of a new striker, to be informed that the French Karim Benzema, will be the first striker of the Royal team.

The newspaper said this could prevent Real Madrid from convincing any new striker to join the team during the current transfer window because the striker would not accept it as a second option.

Real are considering signing striker Timo Werner of Leipzig, but he will not be able to play in the Champions League with the Royal, unlike ICARDY who will be able to play in the Champions League.
