A student was killed and two others wounded by gunfire at the state's Hovan High School, local police said Thursday.
"As a result of the shooting at Hoffman High School, three people were injured," police said.
According to local media, one of them died of his wounds on his way to a hospital.
US President Donald Trump, who won support from the US National Arms Association during his campaign for the 2016 presidential election, opposes imposing additional restrictions on arms possession. Instead, he called for the arming of school teachers after 17 people were killed in a high school shooting in Parkland, Last month.
