Google has released the Google Lens feature for Google Photos users and is now releasing it to Google Photos users on the iOS platform as well. The launch will be in stages, but Google expects it to be available to all users by next week.
It is an extension of the search engine "Google" but it is concerned with the contents of the images. With Google Lens, you can create a contact using a photo of your business card or learn more about a famous historical landmark you've taken a photo of because Google Lens understands what you're looking for and is trying to make the most of it. This feature will soon be able to identify more about animals and plants, which means that this feature will be able to know the different plant species, to name a few.
To access the Google Lens feature in the Google Photos app, users only need to open an image and click the square camera icon in the toolbar below the image. It will take about a second to analyze and then the results will appear.
